    Taylor's Island

    Taylor's Island is an 1100 acre island made up primarily of tidal marsh. The marsh attracts a variety of waterfowl, as well as Asian sika deer, raccoons, muskrat and river otters. It is not uncommon to see ospreys and bald eagles fishing in the waters off the island.

    Fishing Bay Wildlife Management Area

    The Fishing Bay WMA is the largest area of publicly owned tidal wetlands in the state of Maryland. Bald eagles and osprey can be seen here, along with deer and muskrat. Saltwater fishing and crabbing are two more activities that can be enjoyed at Fishing Bay. Found about 20 miles south of Cambridge, MD.

    LeCompte Wildlife Management Area

    Located in Vienna, roughly 10 miles south of Cambridge, the LeCompte WMA is made up of 500 acres that was originally set aside as a refuge for the Delmarva squirrel, a native endangered species. Deer hunting in this park is restricted to bow and muzzleloader only.

    Linkwood Wildlife Management Area

    The Linkwood Wildlife Management Area is situated about 1/2 mile south of Linkwood, not far from Cambridge. The 313 acres of forest are home to a wide variety of wildlife for visitors to observe.
