In 1891 the present Ocean City Station, now the museum, was built. The building was actively used by the U.S. Coast Guard until 1962 for saving distressed lives and vessels on the water. The museum now holds a variety of collections including different sand from beaches from around the world, an aquarium, bathing suits and beach toys, mermaids and many life-saving vessels. Address: .
